Sétálj velem- Walk with Me

„I like to use the term “walk with me” because our motion, speech, and facial expression during a short walk, express what we are now. Together they explain where a block is hindering our Qi flow and the consequences caused by altered flow. Critical thinking and humble acceptance will initiate change. Attila Csörgő”

Competitive advantage

Peter Senge wrote “ in the long run the only sustainable competitive advantage is your organizations ability to learn faster than the competition.” That needs flexibility and creative thinking with as little blocks as possible. Before we can solve complex problems, we need critical thinking to understand them. The more creative our thinking is, the finer we can use our tools, and the better the process becomes. TCM offers such tools if we understand its holistic principle and universal value.

For example, Classic Western medicine describes at least two levels of disease. Specifically, the terms acute and subacute mean a condition that actively derails our homeostasis or is passively present without derailing our health. The Chinese have a unique approach to disease. Chinese medicine differentiates by observing a disharmony at our energy level, which, if unattended, will consolidate into the material world in the form of an acute dis-ease.

In short, Chinese medicine is based on observation and developed creative explanations describing what they thought was disharmony or derailment. The idea a physical disease has an energy precursor opened interesting, innovative descriptions to health. Most notably is the idea that a universal energy source, they called Qi, became a health motor. Initially, our Qi flows without running into blocks we unintentionally put there with hesitant reactions. Our brains believe avoiding a stressful or frightening experience is always healthier. Unfortunately reality is different.

Interrelated connection

Qi is energy; it reflects our emotions, will to prosper, or mental and physical hygiene. The Chinese understood the interrelated connection between mental hygiene and physical health and described the meridian system as Circulating Qi in our bodies. It is an interface responsible for maintaining dynamic energy flow in our bodies and mental performance. If we reacted to fear or unpleasant experience with anxiety at one point in time, it created unintended blocks. Our brain does this, and neurologists believe the process is a function of our amygdala center located in our brain. The Chinese, without knowing that our brain functions,  observed and explained, the blocks will be deposited somewhere in our meridian system because that is where Qi will flow. Over time methods to locate these blocks were facilitated into pulse, tongue, muscle tone, or face diagnostic techniques. Our face, motion, and speech will reflect our meridian and all the distortions we altered into the program. In essence, Chinese observation skills regarding Qi become a treasured resource for self-evaluation, not just for physical health issues but also for emotional health issues. Together with observing the two conditions will then give insight into how we work. Either we break any progress in a decision intended to move us forward, or we use the energy flow needed to get to point B from point A.

Initiate Change

I like to use the term “walk with me” because our motion, speech, and facial expression during a short walk express what we are now. Together they explain where a block is hindering our Qi flow and the consequences caused by altered flow. Critical thinking and humble acceptance will initiate change. Any slight alteration in Qi direction towards your original flow will have an impact. It will show in our meridians, our emotions, and indeed reflect physical health and mental performance.

How? To use a metaphor, a river has a natural flow. Sometimes a rock or an event will obstruct its natural flow. A damming process follows that will begin to build pressure and alter the flow. On the other side, Gravity will permanently mark natural flow, and physics will do the rest for this explanation. Removing a part of the block will release tension, which will drive the rebooting process forward, automatically changing our path towards our self-awareness.

Mindfulness and the creative process

Applying mindfulness to a creative process is similar. A creative process has a natural energy flow. The closer we are in line with that process, the better our result. Mindfulness is a learned application. Initially, it was natural to us, but disappointments and past conclusions created an altered mindset. Rebooting is part of the process. Using elements of TCM for a mindset cleansing, however, is new. The process is exciting and applicable for personal or professional business developments. It is original because of its universal principles and has proven effective regarding medical issues, mental hygiene, Sports performance, or group development.
